• Softness - SORONA cotton fabrics tend to be very soft, as the polyester fibers add drapability and a smooth handfeel. The cotton provides natural breathability. This combination results in a soft, lightweight fabric suitable for t-shirts and other apparel.
• Moisture management - The polyester content in SORONA cotton helps wick moisture away from the body, while the cotton fiber absorbs some moisture and allows for airflow. This helps the material feel dry to the touch and prevents overheating.
• Easy care - SORONA cotton fabrics are machine washable and dryable. They are crease-resistant and anti-pill to maintain a neat appearance through regular laundering. The cotton/poly blend means they require less ironing compared to 100% cotton fabrics.
• Eco-friendly - SORONA cotton is made partially from biobased ingredients, including 20-30% plant-based polymer derived from corn. This helps lower environmental impact compared to synthetics like polyester. SORONA cotton production is also energy efficient and has a reduced carbon footprint versus conventional polyester manufacturing.
• Durability - The polyester in SORONA cotton provides strength and pill-resistance. Fabrics tend to maintain shape well over time with minimal shrinkage or fading. This leads to a longer usable life for garments.
